2006

Humble Beginnings

Ross Construction began in 2006 when Robert Ross started taking on remodeling projects in the Wausau area. At first, the focus was small with kitchen updates, bathroom remodels, and hands-on work that built both skill and reputation. Those early years were defined by long hours, learning the trade, and treating every client’s home with the same care as our own. Word-of-mouth referrals grew quickly, and a reputation for honesty and craftsmanship became the foundation of everything to come.

2009

The First Next Generation Joins

In 2009, Andrew Ross joined the company between high school and college, contributing in the field before pursuing a career in public accounting. Even after leaving in 2015, Andrew continued advising the business on tax and financial matters. In 2024, he returned as a co-owner and CFO, bringing valuable financial balance to the leadership team.

2011

Building a Future in the Field

Matt Ross began full-time in 2011 after years of part-time and summer work. Starting with simple tasks, he steadily took on more responsibility — from leading crews to managing projects — and developed a strong ability to guide clients through complex remodels. His growth in leadership, estimating, and client relations laid the groundwork for his future role as CEO.

2015

Operations Leadership Emerges

After years of helping part-time and during summers, Peter Ross joined full-time in 2015. Like his brothers, he worked his way through every role in the field. His eye for detail and deep trade knowledge made him a natural fit for operations, and today he serves as COO, leading the team in daily project execution and ensuring Ross Construction’s high standards are met on every job.

2020

Becoming a Design-Build Firm

By 2020, Ross Construction had grown from a remodeling company into a full design-build firm. With the adoption of 3D design software, clients could now visualize their projects before construction began. This shift made remodeling less intimidating and gave families the confidence to make decisions knowing exactly how their finished space would look.

2024

A New Chapter of Family Leadership

In 2024, Robert Ross passed ownership to his three sons, completing the transition to the next generation. With Matt as CEO, Andrew as CFO, and Peter as COO, Ross Construction entered a new era of family leadership — one that balances design expertise, financial insight, and operational excellence. Robert remains active in the business, continuing to lend his experience as the team looks ahead to the future.

Matt Ross

CEO

Matt grew up working alongside his dad and officially joined the family business in 2011. He brings years of hands-on experience and a deep passion for guiding homeowners through meaningful transformations. When he’s not leading the company, he enjoys time with his family and tackling projects around his home.

Andrew Ross

CFO

Andrew returned to the family business after college, bringing the financial expertise Ross Construction needed as it continued to grow. He keeps projects on solid financial footing and enjoys family time, seasonal traditions, and staying active throughout the year.

Peter Ross

COO

Peter loves solving problems and helping bring clients’ ideas to life. After joining the family business, he quickly developed a passion for operations and craftsmanship. Outside of work, he enjoys curling in the winter, relaxing outdoors in the summer, and spending time with his wife and their two cats.

Dan Schweitzer

Lead Estimator

Dan discovered construction accidentally but quickly grew passionate about the work. His experience in the field helps him create detailed, realistic estimates. When he isn't working, he enjoys gardening, camping, and life at home with his growing family.

Brad Moodie

Project Manager

Brad has always enjoyed building, problem-solving, and turning ideas into finished spaces. As a project manager, he focuses on communication and quality execution. Off the jobsite, you’ll find him with his family, enjoying hobbies, and keeping up with his four kids and their dog, Luna.

Stephen Moodie

Estimator

Stephen joined the industry to learn construction firsthand and now supports clients by developing accurate, thoughtful estimates. He enjoys hunting, snowmobiling, and time spent exploring the outdoors.

Adrian Reyes Bueno

Site Supervisor

Adrian discovered his passion for carpentry through woodworking projects in his garage. Today, he oversees jobsite progress with a focus on craftsmanship and client care. He enjoys family outings, church involvement, and hands-on projects at home.

Colton Moodie

Excavation Project Manager

Colton grew up building with his grandfathers and has been with Ross Construction ever since joining the field. He manages excavation with a strong focus on precision and safety. When he’s not working, he’s outdoors, dirt biking, helping others with projects, or volunteering at church.

Robert Ross

Founder / Project Manager

Bob built the company on hard work, honesty, and craftsmanship. With lifelong experience in building and farming, he still enjoys seeing projects through from start to finish. Outside of work, he spends time with his family and serves local churches through gospel ministry.
